Nick & Johnny Green Ice

It's a really nice snus. The slim white portions are comfortable, and resemble those of "LAB series" slim white portions. Despite being white portion, the spearmint flavor comes on fairly quickly, as does the burn in the lip. The spearmint keeps this extra burn going for the majority of the time. I thought I would enjoy this, but it got a little too intense for me! This is to say, I couldn't imagine using this day in and day out. The flavor is great, though. A semi-sweet spearmint flavor that lasts, and keeps any and all tobacco flavors at bay until it starts to run. If you enjoy a mint snus that burns, with middling sweetness, this is probably right up your alley.

It took me about a year of trying all different types and flavors of snus before finding this. I agree with nearly everything WolfenJack says, except that I prefer the slim shape and size of the pouches, and these are soft and do not irritate my gums as much as most other white snus' pouches. The size does make it easier to be discrete with it. The nic content is higher than General snus, but the size is slightly smaller, so I find the total nic content to be just slightly more/higher than General. The flavor is great. It is Spearmint- not Mint, so don't expect a mint flavor like that of General Mint, nor is it 'Wintergreen'. As previously reviewed by WolfenJack, it is also not as sweet as General Mint- which is a good thing. It is not devoid of sweetness, but it's not overpowering. 3 years after converting from American snuff/dipping products, this has consistently been one of my favorites.

If you like Doublemint chewing gum, you’ll love this snus. As a heavy user of mint snus over more than a decade, I had high hopes for this one, if it were offered in an original portion and non-slim format it would be close to perfect. This pure spearmint with very little tobacco taste,at just the right levels of sweetness. It’s is not sicky-sweet ala General Mint. Nor is it straight mint, no sweetness, like Skruf Fresh. It’s really nicely balanced with very little saltiness. Unfortunately, the white portion format dulls the flavor, and as with many mint white snuses tends to irritate the gums. The slim portion size reduces the nic hit and the slim portions doesn’t sit as nicely in the mouth. Unfortunately, due to these two issues, Green Ice will not make it into my regular rotation. If they ever come out with a large Op version, however, it might just be good enough to become a daily driver for me. I can see this being a real favorite for some, particularly those who like to keep it discreet.
