Nick & Johnny uses a blend of 1030 tobacco varieties to create its snus products, including the Nick & Johnny Green Ice. This creates a smooth tobacco taste that has pronounced minty tastes of spearmint and peppermint. At 14mg/g of nicotine content, this is a strong portion that is likely to appeal to more experienced snusers.

This was the first N&J product that was available in a slim, white format. The long and narrow sachet increases comfort levels for the user, and decreases the noticeability, giving snusers more discretion. It also provides a longer release of flavor and nicotine as the snus is less runny compared to original formats.

Other varieties in the Nick & Johnny line of snus from manufacturers Swedish Match include the Americana, Red Hot, Crushed Ice, and Crushed Ice White. N&J is renowned for containing more nicotine than most of its competitors, as well as appealing to younger adults and students because of its edgier image.

Still a favorite, 3 years after..

It took me about a year of trying all different types and flavors of snus before finding this. I agree with nearly everything WolfenJack says, except that I prefer the slim shape and size of the pouches, and these are soft and do not irritate my gums as much as most other white snus' pouches. The size does make it easier to be discrete with it. The nic content is higher than General snus, but the size is slightly smaller, so I find the total nic content to be just slightly more/higher than General. The flavor is great. It is Spearmint- not Mint, so don't expect a mint flavor like that of General Mint, nor is it 'Wintergreen'. As previously reviewed by WolfenJack, it is also not as sweet as General Mint- which is a good thing. It is not devoid of sweetness, but it's not overpowering. 3 years after converting from American snuff/dipping products, this has consistently been one of my favorites.

Doublemint

If you like Doublemint chewing gum, you’ll love this snus. As a heavy user of mint snus over more than a decade, I had high hopes for this one, if it were offered in an original portion and non-slim format it would be close to perfect. This pure spearmint with very little tobacco taste,at just the right levels of sweetness. It’s is not sicky-sweet ala General Mint. Nor is it straight mint, no sweetness, like Skruf Fresh. It’s really nicely balanced with very little saltiness. Unfortunately, the white portion format dulls the flavor, and as with many mint white snuses tends to irritate the gums. The slim portion size reduces the nic hit and the slim portions doesn’t sit as nicely in the mouth. Unfortunately, due to these two issues, Green Ice will not make it into my regular rotation. If they ever come out with a large Op version, however, it might just be good enough to become a daily driver for me. I can see this being a real favorite for some, particularly those who like to keep it discreet.

The best

This spearment snus is by far the best i have had. Not to sweet and the nic level is just right for my needs. A must try for anyone who loves the spearment flavor. Dont get no better than this!
